| In 1988 The Kansas Jayhawks entered the NCAA tournament unranked. They were no doubt an underdog with 11 regular season losses. Danny Manning dumped in 31 points in the NCAA championship game, knocking off Big Eight foe and 3rd ranked Oklahoma. It was the Jayhawks first national title since 1952. |
